Transfer Factor Plus and ChemoViews: 233

My Mom is 87 and was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (Stage III) in June 2008. She was severely anemic, lost lots of weight and could not get in and out of bed due to severe pain. Her primary doctor recommended hospice care and gave her 30 to 45 days to live.

For 5 months she took a supplement called Transfer Factor and began her Chemo treatments on September 18, 2008. By September 28, her M-spike completely disappeared, and basically went into remission in less then a month. She only had three treatments of Velcade, Zometa and Procrit. She also had no reaction to the chemo treatments.

Well, Transfer Factor Plus is a natural supplement that supports the immune system. I understand it helps the body’s Natural Killer cells (NK cells) identify the infectious agents that attack the body. Those tiny molecules would then cause the immune system to target and destroy the offending pathogens that make us sick.

I would like to know if there is anyone out there who has had a similar experience with the TransferFactornetwork.

Wow I am intrigued. What is with the Transfer factor. What’s in it? and what is M spike mean when you referred to your Mom’s remission. I’m am completely at a loss here. But I want to know more. Sounds like you are taking it or know a lot about the regimene. Are you saying that your Mom no longer has cancer and has she finished her treatments and what is next for her? Sorry for all the questions but I am most interested.
Thanks.

Transfer factor is an all natural substance that works by “teaching” your own immune system to identify infectious agents that attack your body every day.

They are tiny protein molecules that are produced by immune cells called T-cells. It allows the immune system to remember conditions for which immunity has already been established. When a person has been infected, for example, with chicken pox in childhood, their body develops a memory of that illness, and prevents the person from becoming re-infected with it later in life. In the future, the specific immune transfer factor molecule for chicken pox will endow the immune system with the exact ‘blueprint’ of what chicken pox looks like, and the body will be able to quickly recognize and respond to any possible re-infection. Many of these transfer factors – or “immune memory molecules,” were introduced to us from our mother’s milk or colostrum, which is the richest source of concentrated transfer factors known to scientists. Transfer factors in colostrum have the sole purpose of transferring immunity from the mother to the baby’s immature immune system. All mammals produce transfer factor, but scientists prefer to work with chicken and normal bovine colostrum. A healthy cow already produces millions of different transfer factors, but when the cow comes into contact with a pathogen such as a virus, it produces a new transfer factor for that specific virus or pathogen. For individuals challenged by specific pathogens – such as those suffering with chronic illnesses like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, supplementation with the appropriate transfer factor molecule may provide the ‘missing link,’ thereby allowing the immune system to target and destroy the offending pathogen, and mitigate the symptoms of the disease.” Ref.transferfactornetwork.com

M-spike means protein count. Cancer cells apparently produce more protein to protect themselves. Therefore a high protein level would mean more cancer cells (plasma cells)mutiplying in the body. Those plasma cells act like weeds in a garden. They seem to multiply faster then the natural killer cells (NK Cells, like T4)that protects the body. If the immune system does not function properly, therefore the body will have more plasma cells then killer cells. By boosting her immune system she was able to ease her chemo symptoms and make treatment more effective. Her bipsy last month revealed that her plasma cells were reduced to 40% from 90% and her bone lesions disappeared. I am not saying that Transfer factor is a cure. However, I am not sure what the outcome would have been if she did not take it. That is why, I want to know if other cancer patients are having or had a similar experience.
